Who is a hero? by Yajaira Galan Lyrics
Should students learn about certain characters in the Bible, like David, who had his top military leader murdered so that he could sleep with his wife? Or Cain, who murdered his own brother? Isn’t that the behavior of criminals? Yes, they should, like the article mentioned, it doesn't matter who they talk about, there's going to be something negative. & the point is to learn the concept, it doesnt matte rif its religion wise or celebrity wise, the point is to learn what the topic is about.
Should students learn about Romeo and Juliet, which depicts acts of murder, suicide, and teenagers getting very romantically involved? Yes, because it's life, you won't be able to hide it away from student, it's things that occur in everyday life now.
Should students learn about President George W. Bush, even though he was an alleged substance abuser? Yes, no one is perfect, everyone goes through rough times but sooner or later, they can become very successful.
Should students learn about President Obama, whose drone strikes have killed untold numbers of innocent children overseas?
Ever heard of the idea: one person’s hero is another person’s villain? Jay Z is almost worshipped by some people yet despised by others. How does your own perspective influence what you see as heroic?
Should we not consider WHY people get involved in illegal activities before completely condemning them for it?
Isn’t Jay Z a good model of how to transcend and escape a lifestyle of selling drugs and violence? Should we not learn from and celebrate his success?
What if Jay-Z could even help teach sonnet poetry?
Shouldn’t students have more of a say than parents and teachers about who they are learning about anyway? Does it make it you mad to see everyone arguing over what you should be learning, yet no one has asked YOU what you want to learn about?
If you had to teach our class tomorrow, what HERO would YOU teach on?
