Blue Collar by Tommi Truthz Lyrics

Genre: rap | Year: 2018

Verse
Slowly became a victim to my own thoughts
What’s the price for sanity? My whole vault
God holds the key and the prayers he’s collected
Cuz once upon a time I wasn’t calm and collective
Evil spewed- I couldn’t find a reference
Almost made a razor blade the total severance
Anxiety turned poems into skeletons
A creative in a 9-5 settlin’
Tulips for the effort- it was short lived
Shorty once called me a lame because I wasn’t jig
Really wasn’t on her check list
Well I refuse to entertain a ratchet’s code of ethics
This ain't chattin’- more like on the ball clappin’
More like move out the way cuz Tommi rappin’
Nowadays I’m stretched beyond my means
My chi gets abused and I’m romanticizing scenes
Call it what you want cuz
Forgive my slang-old habits will never rust
Kats puttin targets on they backs for lack of
Common sense? Or maybe just to build a buzz
I’m tired of the Hollywood behavior
You get a few thousand likes then they think you’re a savior (blue collar)
Poem
It slowly crawls…spreads it evil agenda into my atmosphere without warning..dying stars give way to the impending presence that smirks from a far, knowing I’m at my weakest..ever felt defeated and scarred all at once? Like you fought a battle for years and got left with battle wounds? Dark reminders of a loss that should’ve never happened..but I want to be able to speak life into my storms..I want to be able to grab my demons by the horns and punt them so far that God and I can play tennis for infinite rounds..feel me?..thoughts rage as I try to grasp the moment that I’m trapped in..thinking of a way out has me optimistic again…my crawl turned into a light jog, finally out of sight from the one who thought I saw fright..hopped a fence, bruised hands now a reminder of freedom…freedom that one wished they had…we can’t stay in that head space for long…so rise with me and feel a new beginning enter your soul…feel a new beginning enter your soul..you are reborn young one…blue collar
