The Teeth by Tim Sample Lyrics

Genre: misc | Year: 1983

Mother and I love on a Thursday night
We will go up, as you're heading towards Bangor
On the left hand side
Just before you get into town
You can't miss her right on the turnpike
Dysack's truck stop
Now remember what I said earlier
How manys ever been to Dysack's truck stop
That's amazing
No, its gorgeous
You pull in and they got gas pumps, diesel pumps
There's probably about 12 or 14 of them right out front
Right out front
And then of course right downwind of them is the restaurant area
Even more to the point, see they want you to understand
So they got a big sign out front it says
"Eat here, get gas"
Well we go to Dysack's
We usually sit down and
I remember one night we was just sitter there
And this uh couple come in
Who's awful cute, off they come in
They was an older couple, it looked like they just won the Paul Harvey
You know married the longest there that day you know and
They was all lovey-dovey
And they took a little candle out
And they lit it and stuck it in the ashtray
Made the shape of a tire
Course everything up there is kinda ordered around trucks you know
The lube job breakfast and everything
Kind of truck oriented
They sat down
And they ordered their dinner
They ordered the steak special
You get a steak and some of them little grouping of them canned peas
And then ice cream scoop of mashed potatoes right along next to it
They got that
Why the lady she kind of lit right into that
Good shape
Boy she was munching on that
And about 6,8,10,12,14 minutes laster
The uh, the waitress there was kind of sitting on the side
And she noticed that the gentleman had not begun to eat his dinner
And the lady was almost finished
Well she wanted to make sure that everything was ok
She came over and she says I just wanted to make sure everything was ok
Oh, he says nothing wrong dear
I'm just waiting for mother to get through with the teeth
