SCP-3091 by The SCP Foundation Lyrics
Item #: SCP-3091
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-3091 must be contained in a 5m x 5m Steel Cube which has walls that are 0.25m thick. The base of the cube must have a layered plastic on top of it which is 2cm thick. The sides (not including the floor) should have ridges on them which prevent the classification of solid ground. These ridges should also be made of steel.
The cube must be suspended with 4 0.5cm x 0.5cm steel rods at each side of the roof of the cube connecting the cube to the ceiling of the containment area (Which should be around 10m x 10m). The cube should be in the center of the room. The cube should have a door on one of the sides with a ladder that leads up to it from the floor to the door. The ladder should also be steel. The door should be made of steel also and can be electronically operated from an overseeing room outside the containment area.
Description:
SCP-3091 is, what appears to be, an eight-legged arachnid creature that, when stretched to its maximum surface area, measures to be 59cm x 47cm. However, SCP-3091 has the material of plastic. Small hinges are where SCP-3091’s joints should be. For a face, SCP-3091 has a drawn cartoonist-looking face which has a happy expression. SCP-3091 cannot communicate in any known way.
SCP-3091 can dissolve any substance except the 2 current materials that have been found to this date. It can do this by exerting a liquid of unknown substance from its mouth. It is unknown how the liquid appears due to there being no open space on SCP-3091’s body at all. The 2 materials are plastic and steel. When presented with steel, it is not able to dissolve the material. However, when presented with plastic it will try in all its capabilities to stay on the material and guard it heavily. It is speculated the reason behind this is due to SCP-3091’s body being made of plastic also. If SCP-3091 has seen a human of any type, whether it be old or young, it will attempt to dissolve the human as well.
Addendum:
It was noticed after a long time SCP-3091 has been able to create small amounts of dissolution on the Steel of its chamber. It was uncovered that SCP-3091, after a long time, can dissolve Steel. It would spray it’s dissolving acid onto the walls of its chamber while remaining on the plastic floor it heavily guards. The usual time taken to make any noticeable damages to the Steel is 2 weeks. In the attempt to prevent SCP-3091 from breaking through it’s given containment, it was uncovered that SCP-3091 cannot dissolve any surface that is rigid and does not have a flat surface area. Small steel ridges were immediately placed on the inside of SCP-3091’s walls in order to stop it from dissolving them.
Every once in a while, the plastic layer on the floor of SCP-3091's containment room should be removed and placed back after a while in order to observe the effect it has on the mental/physical state of SCP-3091 (Temporary steel ridges should be added to the floor also).
Incident 3091-1:
A test was held on the ██/██/20██, a Class-D was ordered to enter the containment of SCP-3091 and pretend to take the plastic layer on the floor for themselves (even though it would never be able to get through the containment door.) SCP-3091 responded almost instantly, it immediately attacked the Class-D with its unknown liquid. SCP-3091 exerted the liquid onto the face and chest of the Class-D, causing them to howl in pain while their bodily tissue burnt away. The Class-D died within a minute from the dissolution of vital organs. SCP-3091 then proceeded to attempt to force the Class-D's body out of the closed door. When it could not complete the task, SCP-3091 went into a panicking rage, rapidly circling the containment room in distress. When the Class-D's body was removed it returned to a docile state.
