That Boy is Trouble Pt. 2 by The Pine Box Boys Lyrics

Genre: country | Year: 2016

[Intro]
Wake up

[Verse 3]
Polished up his Army Colt brighter than a bell
He spent his last eight bits on that pocket full of shells
And every night he checks the sights, and the ritual starts again
And he loads a single bullet and gives the cylinder a spin
He don't call it chance for he knows it's coming soon
The hammer locks and he plays Rushee Roolet with the moon

[Chorus]
That boy is trouble (You ain't kidding...) (Lord, Lord, Lord...)
That boy is trouble
That boy is trouble (You ain't kidding...) (Lord, Lord...)
That boy is trouble

[Narration]
So you know, Jubal was out there playing Russian Roulette with the moon. Same as he'd done every night. See, what he'd do is he'd spin the cylinder and put the barrel against his temple and he'd pull the trigger and... click. And he'd point it at the moon... click. And back and forth until finally WHAM!

And that one round would shoot off at the moon, well then Jubal would know it was time to go to sleep
Well so he got to thinking how he was starting to use up all them shells and he didn't have no more money. And so he didn't pull the trigger that time. Well, if damn if he just couldn't sleep at all. Just spinning around in that coffin all night, finding no comfort, 'till by and by he decided to get up and go on into town

Well he finds himself a drinking establishment - sort of the 'hush-hush' type. And he ain't never been in one of those before. So he don't know what it is, he just parked his coffin outside, and he goes walking on in with that pistol sticking out his pants, and that crow, and that man behind the bar said he needed to take them things out of there. So he goes on back and he stows them all in that coffin. And he set that cage with the crow on it on top and that crow whispered something to him. And he went on back inside

Well there was a band playing. And the man behind the bar told Jubal that, look, he needed to buy something if he was gonna sit there. Jubal said he didn't have no money, he was already getting mad enough to fetch up that pistol but the man said he could listen to one song. And Jubal figured one song would be enough, and if he was still mad, well, when it was over he'd fetch that pistol and he'd shoot somebody, just for meanness

Don't fate sometimes just tangle up her threads to a point where a body couldn't begin to sort out how everything could've just happened like that all at once?

That band just happened to play a song, at that very moment, on the day they just learned how to play that day from an old feller that they'd met on a train who couldn't remember if he'd a writ' it or somebody else did. But these old boys, they kinda liked that melody, and they had no idea who was just now listening, and just how he was gonna react. Well that song sounded kinda like this:
