[Verse 2: Rev. Arthur T. Jones]
Burdens done got a little heavy
I wanna go
My burdens done got a little heavy
And I wanna go home
[Chorus: Choir, Rev. Arthur T. Jones]
I see the lightning flash
I, the lightning flashing
And I heard
Heard the thunder roll

[Bridge: Rev. Arthur T. Jones]
Burdens done got a little heavy
I wanna go home

[Verse 3: Rev. Arthur T. Jones]
Wanna see Jesus
I'm going home mm
I just wanna see Jesus
I wanna go home

[Verse 4: Rev. Arthur T. Jones]
After a while
I'm going home
Oh, after a while
By and by, one morning, I'm going home
Oh yes I am
[Chorus: Choir, Rev. Arthur T. Jones]
I see the lightning flashing
I see the lightning flashing
And I've heard
Heard the thunder roll
After a while
I'm going home

[Interlude: Rev. Arthur T. Jones]
From Acts 27:29-44 KJV
There's an occasion in scripture here;
"Then fearing less we should have fallen upon rocks
They cast four anchors out of the stern, and wished for day
Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, "Except ye abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved." But the soldiers cut of the ropes to the boat. And they let her fall. Wherefore I pray to you, to take some meat, for this is of your health. For there shall not an hair fall from the head of either of you. But the centurion willing to save Paul, kept them from their purpose and commanded that they which could swim, should cast themselves into the sea and get to land. And the rest, some on boards, some on broken pieces, and it came to pass that they all escaped to land safe."
Some coming on fragments, some climbing the rough side of the mountain, some on bits and peices
But after a while
I'm going home, mm

[Verse 5: Rev. Arthur T. Jones]
Storm cloud rising
I'm going home
Storm cloud rising
I'm going home
Oh yes i am

[Chorus: Choir, Rev. Arthur T. Jones]
I see the lightning flashing
And I heard
Heard the thunder roll
Storm cloud rising
I'm going home
