Creation Story Essay by Rebekah Smith Lyrics

Genre: misc | Year: 2013

Genesis and Greek Creation Myth both involved a villain (that disturbs the order of things and hurts the hero) . A villain is a person that tries to hinder the hero from accomplishing greatness. Genesis and the Greek Creation Myth have different type of villains. For example in genesis, the villain was a serpent(Satan) who hindered Adam and Eve and their offspring to be perfect,by telling them to disobey god. This act was punished by god and forever hindered Adam and eve offspring. Similar to Genesis, Greek Creation Myth also had a villain, but the villain was related to the hero. This caused issues with not only the people he hurt but also his family. In the end the villain was conquered by his son. This proves that villains will always be concurred by there rivals, or the hero.

Genesis was different than Greek Creation because it had crossroads. A crossroad is when one decision or act changes the out come of the story. Genesis crossroad was when Eve ate from the Tree-of-Knowledge-of-good-and-evil. If she did not eat from it her children, including her, would still be perfect. In contrast, Greek Creation didn't even have a crossroad to compare with Genesis.
