A Realization by Mitch Gundrum Lyrics

Every once in a while, I experience
moments of sheer bliss, wherein I
am completely satisfied with simply
being alive.
It is these moments that
encourage me to push forward.
Other than that, life sucks:
Nothing but a series of failures
and futile successes, the cruelty,
uncertainty and despair of mankind,
and above all heartbreak.
Thank God for this, though, for
were it not so,
I would have nothing to
write songs about,
and no emotions to base
my poetry upon.
Of course no one is perfect and
life is not fair,
but why would we want it any other way?
