Big Bear by Krazy Krew Lyrics

Genre: rap | Year: 2011

[Verse 1: Big Bear]
A few years ago didn’t know hip-hop
But now things have changed I don’t where it stops
Everywhere I go I see these shops
Selling these records that I don’t know about
My direction has changed from big highways
To these little roads where I have my say
Boy I hope that we make it someday
But even if we don’t it won’t be a waste
Here we got channels solely for hits
But where are the stations for songs like this
Music’s all about fame and about getting all rich
But really all I want is my little old wish
Maybe some knowledge and a little bit of fame
But most all fun and staying true to my name
I’d rather have my krew than a big flash car
‘Cause really it’s friends that’ll take you far

[Hook: Big Bear]
Sometimes I think about the paths I could choose
And often it seems that there’s too much to do
I guess the biggest thing is to stay in school
And then you can travel far from the zoo
I’d love to see the city that started all this
Take a chunk of apple and learn a little bit
Next on my list is a place called Rome
But I won’t see any all on my own
[Verse 2: Big Bear]
I got myself a board to try and be the greatest
Turns out it’s harder than the look they make it
They tell you all you do is flick your foot out
I can’t even ride a straight-line route
Without getting off for every little hop
So all my ambition then slowed to a stop
But it’s not gone in the blink of an eye
It might be tomorrow that I have another try
In truth I don’t know what direction to walk
Where to focus time cause my time is short
In not too long I will have settled into life
And I’m sure that stage is going to be nice
But for now I would like to cherish these years
‘Cause this is the time to break my fears
Explore new heights and to try to achieve
Things that I might not ever believe

[Hook: Big Bear]
Sometimes I think about the paths I could choose
And often it seems that there’s too much to do
I guess the biggest thing is to stay in school
And then you can travel far from the zoo
I’d love to see the city that started all this
Take a chunk of apple and learn a little bit
Next on my list is a place called Rome
But I won’t see any all on my own
[Verse 3: Big Bear]
Picking up the cans can be illegality
But what about the day it becomes a speciality
People are sick of it in their neighbourhood
But they’re only sick of stuff that doesn’t look good
Artists don’t start by painting perfectly
They need a space to practise their art on the street
If you don’t agree that it’s an art form
Then I guess you’ve probably only seen the dawn
Of what is on offer on some of the streets
Go over to London and see some Banksy
His artwork is prized and when it’s destroyed
The people of the town make sure it’s restored
I guess it’s all because the place he be drifting
Is way up higher that the place we be sitting
Someday perhaps I’ll be as good as he
But only if I practise my art on the street

[Hook: Big Bear]
Sometimes I think about the paths I could choose
And often it seems that there’s too much to do
I guess the biggest thing is to stay in school
And then you can travel far from the zoo
I’d love to see the city that started all this
Take a chunk of apple and learn a little bit
Next on my list is a place called Rome
But I won’t see any all on my own
[Outro: Big Bear]
Please bear what have to say in your mind
‘Cause I don’t say these words just ’cause they rhyme
I try to let you know my opinions on life
And even though I might not get it all right
Something I’ve said might help you out
Or maybe teach you things that you don’t know about
I dedicate this song to Rebecca Black
Now it’s your turn make a song and hit me back
