Inner Thoughts by Kennedy Betts Lyrics
Inner Thoughts
(I think about God all day everyday
But not every thought in my head is pleasant
But i learn from every one)
These thoughts are from the inside of my mind
I Write them down in the form of these lines
It’s easier for me to speak when my words are in rhymes (x3)
Spew it like it’s fluid
This air is too humid
We’re all human
We’re all clueless
Pretending we see through it
The whole world is polluted
But we still salute it
Our bodies are hollow, we bamboo it
Flowing on this river, I canoe it
I can do it
Old me I outgrew it
Renovations, I unscrew it
Living for the LORD, pursue it
Bread of Life, I go and chew it
Gold under my darkness, but I'm no Boston Bruin
C. S. Lewis, writing
Words, effluent
Never using f-words
But I swear when I left her
It hurt losing
Something I thought I could never ruin
But it had to happen so that I could change, like a mutant
Falling down like gravity, I’m Newton
Coming back to God, that’s restitution
(yeah)
God is real, no need to prove it
Ask a child, the solution
Loving every human is the only way to do it
(yeah)
A deaf student hears the Truth within my music
I am fluent, trying to influence
All the world, and make it more christian
Less religion, more spirituality
Discipline to the law in our heart, morality
Thinking deep about life, and men’s mortality
What we call reality is just a giant tapestry
That’s woven by His Majesty
Your head spins like a galaxy
Duality is in men’s hearts
A cavity, the world is rapidly numbing, gaining apathy
The tragedy is we don’t see our vanity
Our strategies make us lose our sanity
Insanity is living in a fantasy
But Christ can give us amnesty
I’m practicing this rhapsody
I actually use to be so absently, and anxiously, and angrily in agony
But thankfully I’m happily, part of Father’s family
This gold is not from alchemy
I’m naturally repentant
Only casualty was me, dependent
On His Words I’m not offended
Abraham descendant, I am representing
Very first ascended
(Very first ascended)
From God there is no escape
Every move is a checkmate
Flesh is just a dead weight
With demon cell mates
You don't wanna know how hell tastes
Clean up, call the hotel maid
Don’t care how the pill makes
You feel, God still hates
When we deal with the devil
Touching wet paint
Sensate
Never felt great
What I gotta say
Gotta display
His Way
Gotta stay straight
I pray
Gotta get gate
This race
Running from the death rate
Legs ache
His day
Might be this day
Which way
Is my fate
His Name
Creates my faith
I just want to be heading to the right place
The high place
The nice place
But what I might face
Is just a whitespace
Followed by a bright blaze
Tears in my eyes
As I try to call for Your grace
But it’s too late
(stay in Christ)
