Intelligence by Karlito The Professor Lyrics
[Intro]
Don't stress yourself out on your IQ
You're smart no matter what
[Verse 1]
I'd struggle with myself
Thought that I shouldn't be looking for help
Until, I realized that knowledge means to know
Either that we know something like history
Or that we don't feel it's important, that's why we lose memories like Dory
Just know that IQ doesn't define one person
I've struggled with reading disability, got IEP growing up
Until I realized not even context clues can give knowl- that's showing up
I had to view myself in a third person point of view to understand it, oh damn it
And just realized what does it means to know a story of a book, or anything like a documentary about what cooks
It just means that you know those words
But if you have experiences like socializing with making friends or finding someone you like
Then that makes that you're understanding that school is a lie and that some things from books is trying to get you to the dirt
View that also in a third person point of view
[Verse 2]
I was never in a gifted program when I was in elementary school
When I was in pre-school, I was in a special ed school just because I was diagnosed with autism
Teachers treated me like a graud like it's prison
So I saw that other students are different and doesn't know better than me
Until I go to a regular school, I realized that it just means that you know more than others
And you can have alot of book knowledge, but wouldn't use these knowledge to survive in real life
And then, you would want to grab a knife and commit suicide
Just know that difference and knowing, we're always going to be different and not know better
And even if you're the most "normal" or "smartest," you wouldn't be happy in the end
Once these people that made fun of autism people fun is over
They will go to depression in their early 20s like what you're going through
Keep your head up
Don't stress yourself out on your IQ
You're smart no matter what
