April, Entry 1Today i got the time for Celta vs Barca wrong. I thought it was at 16:00 here in Ontario, Canada, but that was a wrong calculation because i calculated it before i knew that we were going to have Daylight Saving Time from the middle of March. So yeah, i got online and then saw there was only 45 minutes of the game left.

Mathieu scoring that header was a relief! Heck, it was an amazing goal, and heck, it was an amazing 3 points for FCB on the La Liga table. But still, i wouldn't blame them for being a bit nervous about Real Madrid's score earlier this week...

"WHAT?! EIGHT MINUTES? That's even less time for a hat trick than i gave my character Leo in LMATIP!" was what i'd nearly screamed when i read about Cristiano Ronaldo's 5 goals in the 9-1 match - 3 of the 5 goals were scored in the first 8 minutes of the game! And there was the whole issue that there were TEN goals scored between the two teams, and that 90% of those 10 goals were from Real Madrid. Looks like their loss against Barca two weeks ago was really some inspiration for improvement.

And then i just got mad. No, it's not because i'm jealous of Ronaldo being so awesome. (Like, he's one of the world's best players, i've got to say. It's not like i can deny that just because i'm a Messi fan.) It's because of that article i read, like, months ago. The one about...oh wait, i'll show you.

Okay, did you read that? Good. Because you won't understand a thing i'm going to say from here if you didn't read it.

Real Madrid is revolving around CR7. He's their hero, the sharp point of their sword, and everything. They do all they can to ensure his needs are met so he can meet their needs.

This is the reason he's been allowed to score 5 goals in one match around this time - Real is focused on him and making him score and win the Ballon d'Or and stuff. Yes, he's a very very very talented player, and his team is undoubtedly a great team. It's just that their focus is on Ronaldo. That's why we've seen Bale's reaction to it all a few matches ago. That's why my dad, who's a huge fan of J-Rod, has not heard from his #10 in a while. But yet, Real still helps Ronaldo, and Ronaldo still helps Real win.

The last time Messi did that was back in 2012, right after he won his third Ballon d'Or. But now, it looks like Barcelona has more important needs to adress than their sword's point.

Maybe i'm not the world's greatest ranter. Maybe Lionel Messi hasn't got the world's greatest team support. Maybe Ronaldo will tie the 4 Ballon d'Ors record this year, and then the fans will go making all those online memes mocking one of these players again.
Maybe the world will end. Maybe 2012 is supposed to be 2015.

Maybe lies are our friends. Maybe this is just a dream.

Maybe history will repeat - again.

But i will never stop supporting Messi. Forget all the maybe's, and let's focus on the Beautiful Game.Determinedly, Poetically, and Not-Very-Beautifully,
JessieP.S. Oh, actually, i've got to focus on my homework instead. See ya!
