BIBLICAL ALCHEMY by James Ivan Lyrics

Through the study of Biblical Alchemy 
I  learned that I was in way too deep 
with  the illness that is the love of blasphemy, 

lust, and greed, which are goat syndromes. 
The cures for which I was able to reap 
by  losing the three pairs of chromosomes 

that  modern science has stated 
is the difference between goats and sheep. 
This  alchemical change is demonstrated 

by giving you a drink and some food, 
even when the price is steep. 
By clothing you when you're in the nude. 

As  I'd do for Jesus who was once in a manger. 
By taking you in and giving you a place to sleep 
when you are a stranger. 

By visiting you when you're not feeling well 
and praying that your soul the Lord will keep. 
By coming to you when you're locked in a cell. 
Now that all of this work is complete, 
from goat to sheep, I will alchemically leap. 
Now Christ is calling me to my right hand seat
