In ancient Greek culture tîmê was a term used that is closely related to our concept of honor. Tîmê was gained through a variety of ways, Achilles gained much of his through his great prowess on the battlefield. Tîmê is not limited to physical trophies and items, though a trophy won in battle certainly would be a good physical representation of the warriors tîmê. In this case it was Briseis, the princess of Troy Achilles won in battle.
