Pandore et louvre-boîte Traduction by Eric Duchtel Lyrics
On Ascension Day in 1964, it was discovered, in Charleville Cemetery that Arthur Rimbaud's tomb has been desecrated. There was one too many corpse in the vault. It belonged to one of the cemetery employee, a hunchback, murdered by pickaxe stabbing. The coffin had been opened. From the poet's bones, the skull was missing. The police had no leads, no clues. But two years later, during a perquisition in a Parisian antique dealer's home for a case of stolen furnitures, a trepaned skull was found. Since no one knew what to make of it, it was sent from the Paris Forensic Institute to the French National Museum of Natural History. One of the palaentologist identified it as the skull of Apollinaire. The antique dealer, a guy named Decarnelle was questionned again, in custody, and confessed that he was part of a skull trafic. The skulls of Rimbaud, Beaudelaire, de Nerval, Verlaine have all been sold to rich foreign connoisseurs. It was checked. The tombs have indeed all been trespassed, more discretly than the one in Charleville. The skeletons were beheaded.
