Alexandria by Chiara L Lyrics
Sometimes I forget I won’t be young forever
I procrastinate my life and live in my head
It’s safer
Nothing concrete to crash on I won’t get hurt
If I live in the dark I won’t risk to burn
If I don’t exist I won’t be another name to fall
Into oblivion
I don’t wanna scream
And not be heard
I don’t wanna crash
And fall head first
If I’ll disappear
What’s the point of being at all
Alessandria
Thousands burnt names
Thousands of words faded
It makes no sense at all
The blind fate chose
I find comfort in knowing the world is gonna end
Losers or winners, it won’t matter if there’s nothing left
No God to pray to
No Chance to blame
Nothing more to lose
Words I won’t ever read
People I won’t ever meet
Risks I won’t ever take and
Thoughts I won’t ever speak
Alessandria
The poet lost his voice
The fallen heroes lost their story
The flames erased the tragedy’s ending
And the forevers exchanged by lovers and by thieves
Alessandria
The man behind the desk decides
Which one lives and which one dies
I procrastinate my life and live in my head
It’s safer
Nothing concrete to crash on I won’t get hurt
If I live in the dark I won’t risk to burn
If I don’t exist I won’t be another name to fall
Into oblivion
I don’t wanna scream
And not be heard
I don’t wanna crash
And fall head first
If I’ll disappear
What’s the point of being at all
Alessandria
Thousands burnt names
Thousands of words faded
It makes no sense at all
The blind fate chose
I find comfort in knowing the world is gonna end
Losers or winners, it won’t matter if there’s nothing left
No God to pray to
No Chance to blame
Nothing more to lose
Words I won’t ever read
